On January 22nd from 7-9 PM, join me for a lovely Shabbat service led by R. Sarah Brachah Gershuni, at which I will speak about my doctoral research: The Evolution of Jewish Trauma: Tales of Choice and Redemption.
Please come and celebrate the completion of my doctoral degree and hear some remarkable stories from my research about Jewish trauma survivors who demonstrate unconventional responses to their traumas, and a return to the best of our tradition’s ethical principles. These inspiring narratives remind us of our human abilities–not only to heal ourselves but also to transform our ancestral inheritance from fear to love, tragedy to compassion.
This service is free and open to the public – All are welcome! (You don’t have to be Jewish!)
Free childcare also available. Please join us! The service will be followed with refreshments.
