Highland Beach, FL (map)
The past does not simply disappear. The rich cultural wisdom of our ancestors, as well as their wounds, intertwine within us to form the patterns of who we are and who we are becoming. When family members suffer traumas—such as war, terror, discrimination, displacement, mental illness, or early death—painful patterns can get frozen in time, passing to members of the next generations. But we can transform past scars into strengths, and wounds into wisdom! Join Reb Tirzah for healing ritual, meditation, study, and self-care. While this work is based in Jewish source teachings, it is open to people of all ethnic and faith backgrounds.
Hosted by Jack and Joan Halpern in their Highland Beach Community Room.
Cost: $126, special rate with Wounds into Wisdom book $146.
RSVP Required, email Kim Lerner with questions and to register.
This event is part of a series: The Institute of Jewish Knowledge and Learning (IJKL) is hosting Rabbi Dr. Tirzah Firestone in Florida, from Shabbat, January 18 through January 22.
