Online New Moon of Elul Retreat with Congregation Nevei Kodesh: Renewing the Inner Connection

August 7, 1-4 pm Pacific / 2-5 pm Mountain / 4-7 pm Eastern

The beauty of High Holidays  begins at the New Moon of Elul. Wherever you find yourself this year, take time to refresh! Join Reb Tirzah, CNK's founding rabbi, on August 7 for a restorative afternoon of meditation, study, and ritual—and renew your inner connection to the Friend and Lover of our souls.

A personal invitation from Reb Tirzah: In the Jewish medicine circle, every month wears a different face and phase of God. In Elul, the godface or archetype that prevails is that of the sacred Friend and Lover, who comes toward us with concern and empathy for our human situation. This is why I have always loved the new moon of Elul. It's the beginning of a 40-day period of intimacy—with ourselves, each other, and the One who called us into being. It sets us up for a month of compassionate inquiry into our lives and opens our hearts for Rosh Hashana and, ten days later, the apex of the spiritual year, Yom Kippur. Please join us!
